Getting started with social conditions in global supply chains
Social conditions can be integrated into all three stages of the regular procurement process. In the following guide you will be led through the process step by step.
Guide: Social conditions
Step 1: Preparing the invitation to tender
Determine whether and which social conditions are relevant to your public procurement. Identify any risks, and give details of them in the documentation.
Step 2: Reviewing bids
Review bids for compliance with social conditions and, once the award has been made, reach agreement with the supplier. Determine what constitutes a reasonable level of effort and decide on the approach to be taken.
Step 3: Monitoring the contract
During implementation, check that the supplier is in compliance with the agreements reached. Maintain a dialogue throughout the entire contract period and in the event of violations seek possible solutions.
